The Institute of Social Medicine and Health Management was founded in 2005, which is subordinated to the School of Public Health.

Faculty

There are seven full-time teachers in the institute, including two professors, one associate professor and four lectures. All teachers possess Ph.D. degree and five of them are Master Supervisors. Currently, one teacher is a visiting scholar at UCLA Center for Health Policy Research, UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.

Science of Health Care Administration, Health Education, Health Economics, Hospital Administration, Science of Health Legal System and Supervision, Organizational Behavior and so on.

Achievements

One of the teachers has won the second prize in Teaching Skills Competition for Young Teacher of Health Management hosted by Chinese Preventive Medicine Association Health Services Management Branch in 2016, and another teacher has won the third prize in Teaching Competition for Young Teacher hosted by Lanzhou University School of Medicine.

Academic Projects

In recent years, our team has hosted one project supported by National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC), four projects supported by Natural Science Foundation of Gansu Province, several crosswise tasks and participated in three projects supported by NSFC. In recent years, the research results of our team have been adopted in formulating health decisions and several articles have been published, including 6 SCI-indexed papers and over 100 articles published in domestic journals. Moreover, several textbooks compiled by our team have also been published.
