August 1980-July 1985, Obtained the Bachelor's degree in Public Health from Shanxi Medical University.

Employment

July 1985-2004, As an Assistant Professor, Lecturer and Associate Professor of Nutrition and Food Hygiene in Lanzhou Medical College.

October 2004-2018,As Master tutor, associate Professor, Institute of Nutrition and Food Hygiene in Lanzhou University.

During this period: from September 2000 to July 2006, she served as Director of Nutrition Teaching and Research Office.

2008-2009, As a visiting Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley in USA.

Honors & Awards

The main lecture, Nutrition and Food Hygiene, was rated as Provincial quality course.

Awarded the title of excellent League member of Lanzhou University Committee of China Democratic League in2009.9 .

Yan was named "excellent instructor" by Lanzhou University Committee of Communist Youth League in 2012.10.

Member of the Committee on Food Safety Standards of Gansu Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission, expert of the Committee for the Review of Food Safety Standards, expert on the popularization of food safety science in Gansu Food and Drug Administration Bureau, and executive director of Gansu Nutrition Society of Gansu Provincial Health Department, Food professional committee chairman; Food professional committee chairman; Gansu Provincial Family Planning Commission Science and Technology Project Chief expert. Deputy Chairman of the Gansu Women's Commission of the CPC Provincial Committee.

Investigation on the health effects of pollution in lead-zinc mining areas on all kinds of people and countermeasures for prevention and control.

Representative Achievements

In the field of scientific research, she presided over and participated in 5 national projects and 10 provincial and ministerial projects, among which she conducted a study on the effects of automobile exhaust pollution on the health of different population groups and their nutritional intervention countermeasures, which won the second prize of scientific and technological progress of Gansu Provincial Environmental Protection Bureau. The "investigation and study on the effects of sewage irrigation on crops in arid areas of central Gansu" has wonthe the first prize for scientific and technological progress. She also participated in the investigation on the health effects of pollution in lead-zinc mining areas on all kinds of people and countermeasures for prevention and control, which were identified by the Provincial Science and Technology Commission. Published more than 40 academic papers, including 2 SCI magazine, 23 state-level magazines.
