Research Interests

Dr. Zhang Benzhong’s research programs focus on neurotoxicity induced by environmental pollutants, biochemical products and their related molecular mechanism, payment pattern of medical insurance system in China, community chronic disease interventions and health policy research. His research activities are in the following areas:

Neurotoxic insult induced by hyperbilirubinemia and its epigenetic molecular mechanism

Neurotoxicity induced by occupational environmental pollutants and its molecular mechanism

Medical insurance payment method reform and effect evaluation

Evaluation of community public health services and related policies

Community intervention model and related effect evaluation of chronic diseases prevention and control
